There are three media spaces available to faculty and teaching staff at no cost to their unit. To reserve one of the CTL spaces please contact the CTL online via our contact form, emailing thectl@iupui.edu, or calling us at (317) 274-1300. If you haven't used these facilities, or programs, before or would like assistance in using the technology, be sure to request an IT consultation when you make your reservation.
CTL A/V Room

The A/V Room can be reserved for up to 4 hours per session. The room is used primarily for recording high quality sessions for online courses or when flipping your class. The room can also be used for webinars where a very quiet room is desirable. The room offers:
- Sound-isolated recording space
- Professional microphone(s)
- Video and audio capture with Kaltura Personal Capture, Zoom, and PowerPoint are available
- Video and audio editing with Kaltura, Windows Video Editor, Camtasia, Audacity, and Adobe Premiere are available
CTL Video/Media Editing Station

The Video/Media Editing Station is used for converting/editing digital media for your course.
- Video capture and editing
- Analog to digital conversion of several types of media (e.g. VHS to digital)
- DVD capture
Academic Media Production Space (AMPS)

The Academic Media Production Space, located in the lower level of University Library, UL 0135, is managed by UITS Learning Spaces and eLearning Design and Services (EDS), not the CTL.

You can also check availability by viewing the schedule and request a time through the Outlook calendars listed below. Note: You must type in the quotes. If you can't locate the calendar make certain you are searching the Global Address List.

The Academic Media Production Spaces are recording facilities for faculty use only, with technology suited for producing instructional multimedia content.
The facilities have a lighting grid for greater camera and light placement flexibility, multiple HD cameras, high-quality audio, a Smart Podium for marking up visual media, chroma key technology, and a demonstration table. The professional teleproduction equipment has easy user interfaces to switch between cameras and other multimedia sources.
