How do you determine the best use of class time? Whether you have 50 minutes or three hours, carefully planning the structure and organization of your class session can enhance the learning experience. In this 30-minute online mini-workshop, you will learn how to plan an effective class session.
This webinar is part of the Center for Teaching and Learning’s online mini-workshop series focused on foundational teaching skills, Teaching@IUPUI. Designed for new faculty, adjunct faculty, graduate students, and those looking for a refresher on good teaching practices, the workshops will be short (usually 30 minutes), with a brief presentation interspersed with opportunities for interaction and questions. Grounded in current research, the workshops will address various teaching topics and provide participants with strategies and resources to make instruction more effective, efficient, and enjoyable.
NOTE: The Teaching at IUPUI mini-workshops are held online using Adobe Connect. You will need working speakers to hear the presenter. It is strongly recommended that you have a high-speed Internet connection to participate in this session. Registered participants will receive an email with instructions for viewing and a link to the Adobe Connect meeting room upon registering.
