Thursday, January 5, 2017, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. EST

CN Post is a plug-in tool available in each IU Canvas course. It is a good complement to Canvas and an alternative to the default Canvas discussion board. Invented at IU, CN Post helps enhance student communication and engagement through social, global and game-like learning. User feedback shows students prefer having online discussions in CN Post rather than in traditional discussion forums (here’s what this student has to say: https://youtu.be/2ynZczZT_ps). This workshop will introduce unique features in CN Post and offer practical tips for easy implementation both in online and in hybrid courses.

What You'll learn

  • how to access CN Post in Canvas
  • unique CN Post features (post, hashtag, poll, Global Class, Anar Seeds award system, badges, social portfolio)
  • tips and best practices of using CN Post to enhance student communication and engagement
