Scholars Teaching for Student Success: What's New, What's Next
The Scholars Teaching for Student Success was a half-day event designed to foster a culture of scholary teaching and support the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) in pursuit of student success. It also provided a venue for disseminating results and models of scholarly teaching experiments and interventions, such as the work of the curriculum Enhancement Grant awardees.
The 2019 event was held on Friday, October 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in University Library, Lilly Auditorium and foyer, and featured Dr. Kimberly Tanner presenting a research seminar on Collectively Improving Our Teaching: Efforts in Evidence-based Teaching that Produced Classroom Transformations, Unanticipated Discoveries, and Scholarly Publications and a workshop on Order Matters: Becoming Metacognitive about Teaching Choices and Teaching for Brain Changing. The 2018 CEG Scholars presented posters on their CEG projects from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.
