Associate Faculty Teaching Forum

Save the Date

Organized as a series of conversations (forums), the Associate Faculty Teaching Forum (AFTF) offers an opportunity to join your colleagues from many departments to explore commonly encountered teaching issues and strategies at IUPUI, IUPUC, IUFW. The AFTF will be on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 4 to 8 p.m.

2022 AFTF Theme: Re-Engaging Students and Faculty

After making often herculean efforts and accommodations to teach and learn over the past two years of disruption and social unrest, our faculty and students are returning to courses and classrooms sometimes tired, uncertain about norms and expectations, and seeking to reconnect and re-engage. Join us *in person* at University Library (UL) for food and beverages as we come together to discuss ways that associate faculty are working to re-engage students in learning, re-engage in their work as teachers, and re-engage with colleagues and staff. Many university centers and offices who support your teaching work will join us in a Resource Fair and book give-away. Jerry Daday, Professor of Sociology and Executive Associate Dean of IUPUI’s Institute for Engaged Learning will give the keynote address, "Engagement for Professional Well-Being and Student Success."
