Getting Started with Canvas

In this introductory session participants will have the opportunity to take a first-hand look at the Canvas learning management system. During this hands-on workshop participants will explore and learn about the following tools:

  • Navigation: Global vs. Course
  • Settings: Creating a profile and understanding notifications
  • Conversations: Canvas messaging system
  • Files: Canvas resource center
  • Syllabus
  • Announcements
  • Calendar
