Biography
Lisa joined the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) in 2011 as a Faculty Fellow in Instructional Design while maintaining her faculty appointment in the Department of Psychology at IUPUI. Her work in Psychology focused on teaching, coordinating, and developing a critical thinking framework and textbook for the Introduction to Psychology course; developing and teaching the Service-Learning Capstone; teaching the Graduate Seminar in Teaching Psychology; and leading curriculum assessment in the Department of Psychology. Since retiring from teaching in 2019, Lisa’s work at the CTL has included course design and implementation, curriculum mapping, inclusive teaching, and critical reflection. She collaborates with and supports faculty through individual and departmental consultations, workshops, and facilitation of learning communities. Her early career experiences in special education and health psychology served to deepen her understanding of factors that affect learning. Of continuing interest to Lisa is teaching as a scholarly activity and professional identity in higher education.
