A partnership among Academic Affairs, University Information Technology Services (UITS), and University Library
The CTL is well-represented at the ninth annual Sakai conference, currently taking place in Paris, France. Fifteen presenters from Indiana University, including CTL staff and faculty clients, are offering nearly twenty different presentations, illustrating how Sakai can be developed and used to support teaching and learning.
Sakai is a free and open source product that is built and maintained by the Sakai community, a partnership of nearly 100 colleges and universities from around the world. Indiana University is a leading partner in Sakai, both deploying the tool in Oncourse CL, and working to develop the many tools available in the product.
Lynn Ward, Instructional Design and Development Consultant for the CTL, is presenting several sessions on ePortfolio and its development in Sakai. One of the CTL’s faculty clients, Joan Lafuze, is also presenting on how she is using Sakai through Oncourse CL in developing the online courses she teaches across multiple campuses of the IU system.
