Today's college students gather information through a wide variety of technology. They are frequently seen walking across campus reading their smart phones, listening to iPods, and typing on PDAs. Increasingly, faculty are discovering that using the technological tools with which students are comfortable is a practical and effective way to reach them.
Maybe you've never used an iPod, know how to blog, or understand wikis, but you may be curious about them and their potential use for educational purposes. During this event you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with an assortment of the newest technological tools, hear from other faculty who have incorporated these technologies into their courses, and learn strategies you can integrate into your teaching. Time will also be spent on exploring these new tools and how they work inside the Oncourse environment.
