Media Conversion

The Center for Teaching and Learning has technology for duplicating and migrating data to and from a variety of media, including digital audio or video files, CD, DVD, and digital video cassettes. Faculty are welcome to use this equipment and software for these and other media conversion tasks:

  • Digitally archiving old VHS tape footage
  • Compiling multiple video from different sources to one or more DVDs, which can incorporate menu features
  • Converting VHS footage from international video formats such as SECAM and PAL to NTSC, the North American standard for video
  • Duplicating DVDs and CD-ROMS

  • Video Capabilities
    • VHS to DVD
    • Mini DV to DVD
    • SECAM or PAL (international formats) to DVD
    • AVI to WMV, RM, QuickTime, Flash video
  • Audio Capabilities
    • WAV, AIFF to MP3, AAC, WMA
    • Audio recording
    • Cassette to digital formats
